Dr. Gary J. Margolis To Speak At 2014 Laura’s March

We are delighted and privileged to have as the Laura’s March 2014 keynote speaker Dr. Gary J. Margolis, an expert on matters of public safety and security, including the prevention of sexual and gender violence on college campuses. He is a nationally and internationally renowned consultant, educator, and trainer.

Dr. Margolis has had a long, distinguished career in law enforcement and public service, including being “…a founding faculty member of the IACP National Law Enforcement Leadership Institute on Violence Against Women sponsored by the US Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women.” He is also the co-founder and partner of Margolis Healy, the National Center for Campus Public Safety, with offices in Burlington.

At the time of Laura’s murder he was the Chief of Police at the University of Vermont and contributed supportive services to the Burlington Police Department in the efforts to identify and apprehend the person who killed her.
