Welcome to the Laura Kate Winterbottom Fund Website:
This website has been created in remembrance of Laura Kate Winterbottom, whose abrupt
and untimely passing left us with a tremendous hole in our hearts and in our lives that
is impossible to fill. However, although our sense of loss can never be diminished,
our determination to honor her memory has magnified. One way we hope to accomplish this
is through this website, which we invite you to browse and even participate in by posting
your thoughts or messages.
Creation of this website was a labor of love, initiated
by Lisa Kenerson and completed by Becky Grenier, both
of whom volunteered their expertise and time to make
this happen. Becky has selflessly devoted countless
hours to its design and implementation. To Lisa and
Becky, thank you so very much; and to friends Tonianne
and Gabi, and to Cousin Erik and others who offered
their help, thank you, too!
About the Logo:
The logo was inspired by Laura's own business card, which she herself had designed.
The configuration of her initials and the colors are as they appeared on her card.
For this website, Tonianne deftly replicated it.
About Laura's Art:
Aran searched through her portfolio and collection of artwork to select pieces that
she especially liked or that we felt were very representative of her. Laura's art
was a lot like her: whimsical, colorful, energized, and sometimes mysterious.
We hope you enjoy these pieces taken mainly from her drawings, paintings, photographs,
and quilts.
