April is Sexual Assault Prevention Month

April 4, 2016

Less than every two minutes, another person in the United States is sexually assaulted. Knowing how to prevent sexual assault is a key tool in empowering those at risk, which include practically anyone of any age, race, ethnicity, or gender; and it is a key tool in decreasing the likelihood of assault happening. Become familiar with the resources available in your community that offer sexual violence prevention education. In Chittenden County, one such organization is HOPE Works, a premier rape crisis and prevention center. For information, please go to  www.hopeworksvt.org.
