About the Fund

| The Laura Kate Winterbottom Fund is a non-profit
501(c)3 foundation established in 2005 by the family and friends of Laura after her abduction,
rape, and murder on March 8, 2005. At the time of her passing, Laura was teaching art to children
in an after-school program and making plans to become a full-time art teacher. Along with her
passion for teaching art and doing art projects was her passion for exploring and enjoying
Vermont's wondrous natural environment.
