Laura's March | Silent Auction
The Laura Kate Winterbottom Fund's first signature event is Laura's March, a 5k run/walk held each September in Burlington, VT. We look at the March as a wonderful opportunity to bring community, friends, and family together to remember Laura in her birthday month in a manner she would have loved and for a worthy cause, supporting programs that seek to end violence against women and address its consequences using constructive, restorative ways.
Laura’s March 2010 will take place on Sept 11, from 9:00 until 12:00 noon on the Bike Path beginning and ending at the lower shelter at Oakledge Park in Burlington. Our second signature event is our annual Silent Auction. This event pays tribute to how Laura lived her life and what she cared about. This year’s event will take place Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Magnolia Bistro in Burlington and provide scholarships to children at the Children's Advocacy Center of the Chittenden County Unit for Special Investigations to attend arts, nature, and science camps and programs.
